1 - Creating the file on Illustrator
Step 1 - Create the basic file
I created the file in illustrator by copying the image from the slides. I had to first send it to google keep before I could download it.
Then open the image trace window by going to Window > Image Trace
Step 2 - Trace
Click Trace
Step 3 - Expand
Go to Object > Image Trace > Expand
Step 2 - Repeat the above process for the elements as well.
Step 3 - Creating a base in Illustrator. Then coping the shape in Photoshop
I created the basic boarding pass using Step 2.
Then I copied and pasted the shape on to Photoshop.
Photoshop works better with images so it is more useful to lay out the logos using photoshop.
2 - Making Design Decisions
Now I've to decide how to structure the boarding pass and how to lay out the elements.
Users
The following people will use the boarding pass. The information relevant to them is as follows.
Passenger
Flight Number
Boarding Time
Departure Time

Airport Staff

Information Hierarcy
The elements above hold the highest priority. So out of all the elements listed, I'll first prioritise these and then figure out how to lay out the rest.
Grid
I'm using a basic grid to organise the items vertically.
