Week 2 - ISP Shield & Capacitive Touch

ATTiny85 Programming Jig

Note: Different Board

I used the Arduino Feather 32u4 board so I had to use a different ISP programmer (the 32u4 one)

Error: Incorrect Device Signature

Experiencing errors setting the jig up initially with this wiring. Turned out to be caused by a missing SCK wire.

The error is not helpful or informative since it indicates there’s something wrong with the device signature and I spent a lot of time trying to debug this issue which turned out to be caused by a missing wire.

(Incorrect wiring might also cause this. So likely if the device signature is incorrect, it could be caused by incorrectly connected wires)

Fix: Add the missing SCK wire and ensure everything is wired correctly.

Creating a Capacitive Sensor

One thing that’s unusual with this setup which I’ll try to diagnose later is that the capacitive touch works

Possible Cause: could be that Im using a 1m Ohm resistor only with a 220 Ohm resistor for the led.

So I can use another human being as my capacitive touch sensor.
